Opened in 1965, the Highway 5 bridge across the White River brought an end
to the century-or-more old ferry business.  Just as the bridge beckoned and
future, visitor and resident.

About the Foundation
Established in 2008 to support and operate the
Calico Rock Museum, the foundation is governed
by a nine-member board of trustees.  The
foundation board of trustees meets quarterly or
upon the call of the chair.  To learn more about

The Calico Rock Museum is a bridge between the
past and the future.  The museum tells the story of
Calico Rock, Arkansas and its people.  The story
line, displays and exhibits were developed with
community input and scholarly research.  To learn
